The Sports & Youth Welfare Minister will honour the medallists on Sunday.
Mr. Jitu Patwari, the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister of MP, reached T.T. Nagar Stadium yesterday to commend and encourage the star medalists of Khelo India Youth Games-2019. Also, he congratulated the coaches. Dr. S.L. Thaosen, the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare was present on this occasion and he introduced the medal-winning athletes to The Minister.
On the occasion, Sports Minister Jitu Patwari encouraged the medallists by saying that they have made the state proud and he hopes that they would win 4 times more medals at the next Khelo India Youth Games. He assured that the scarce of the budget wouldn’t come in the way of providing better sporting facilities to the athletes.
Further, Mr. Patwari added that MP has immense potential to become a frontrunner in the field of sports and the state government would not spare any effort in bringing enough opportunities to them. A well-managed system is being developed for this cause. He announced that 4 major cities including Bhopal would be gifted with new sports academies so that MP athletes could win more and more medals for the country.
During the conversation, Sports Minister Mr. Patwari highlighted the importance of sports in daily life and said that they are equally important as good resources, a good house, and a good family. Sports give good health, and good health is a symbol of a successful life. He motivated the athletes with the mantra of ‘Play More, Work Hard’ to bring new laurels to the state and their family.
Encouragement prizes will be distributed on Sunday
The Sports & Youth Welfare Minister will honour the Khelo India medallists with cash prizes on Sunday, 27th January 2019 on 12 noon in a ceremony at T.T. Nagar Stadium. Also, he will converse with the athletes and coaches about the sports on the same day.
